Our altrx review scores the program on its published structure: price, what's bundled, how the clinical process works. That's only half the picture. The other half is what happens after people pay, and that comes from customers. So we went through the public complaint and review record for altrx and wrote up what we found, including the parts that don't flatter a provider we've ranked well.

All figures below were checked on public profiles in early October 2026. Review platforms change daily, so treat them as a snapshot and look at the live pages yourself.

This is not medical advice — consult a licensed clinician before starting any GLP-1 medication or weight-loss program.

The short answer

The public complaint record for altrx is poor, and you should read it before you pay. On the two biggest review platforms, most posted reviews are negative. The same themes keep coming up: billing and multi-month charges people didn't expect, trouble cancelling, refunds refused, slow or missing shipments, and support that's hard to reach. Separately, the FDA sent the company behind altrx a warning letter in June 2026 about how its compounded products were labeled and described.

altrx is still a real, operating business. The pricing structure we describe elsewhere matches its own site. But "real business" and "smooth customer experience" are separate questions, and on the second one the public record is weak.

Trustpilot: what the profile shows

As of Oct 2026, altrx's Trustpilot profile (trustpilot.com/review/altrx.com) shows:

  • About 820 reviews, almost all posted in the last 12 months.
  • About 83% are one-star. Roughly 9% are five-star. The rest fall in between.
  • No TrustScore. Trustpilot says the company's rating is unavailable "due to a breach of our guidelines."
  • A notice that Trustpilot has removed "a number of fake reviews" from the profile.

That last point matters for reading the profile in both directions. A fake-review removal notice tells you the review record was being manipulated at some point. It doesn't tell you by whom. Either way, the visible star split leans heavily negative.

Recurring complaint themes on Trustpilot:

  • Charges reviewers didn't expect, including multi-month or longer charges when they believed they'd chosen a shorter plan
  • Trouble cancelling a subscription
  • Refunds refused after a cancellation request
  • Slow shipping, or medication that never arrived
  • Support that's hard to reach by phone or email
  • Reports of the wrong dose or wrong medication being sent

Recurring positive themes, which are fewer but real: fast delivery when an order goes through normally, and a portal that makes order tracking easy.

BBB: what the profile shows

altrx's BBB listing is under altRx, Inc in Miami, FL. As of Oct 2026 it shows:

  • Not BBB accredited.
  • About 230 complaints closed in the last three years.
  • About 167 customer reviews.

When we checked, the profile showed the business as "Not Rated." Some third-party write-ups have reported a lower letter grade at other times. BBB grades change, so read the live profile rather than relying on anyone's summary, including ours. A complaint count in the hundreds is significant for a company this young, whatever grade is showing on a given day. The complaint subjects people describe publicly match the Trustpilot themes: billing, refunds and cancellations.

Reddit and forums

Reddit threads about altrx are scattered across general weight-loss and compounded-medication communities rather than in one place, so there's no meaningful "Reddit rating" to report. Broadly, people say they picked altrx for the low advertised price, and the complaints that follow mirror the review platforms: billing, support response times and shipping. We aren't quoting individual posts because they can't be verified and they get edited or deleted. If you want the raw material, search the subreddits yourself and sort by newest.

The FDA warning letter (June 2026)

This isn't a customer review, but anyone looking up complaints should know about it. On June 8, 2026, the FDA sent a warning letter to Trinity HealthCare Supply, LLC dba altRx in Miami. It's public on fda.gov. In summary, the FDA alleged that:

  • Product images on the altrx site showed "altRx" on the label, which suggested altrx was the compounder when it wasn't.
  • Website language described the compounded products in ways that implied they were FDA-approved or evaluated for safety and effectiveness when they hadn't been.

The FDA asked the company to name the actual manufacturers, provide labeling samples and correct the representations. It also warned that failing to fix the violations could lead to enforcement action.

What this means in plain terms: compounded medication is not FDA-approved, whichever provider you use. The letter was about how altrx presented its products, not a finding about the medication inside the vials. It's still a meaningful marketing-compliance failure, and it belongs in any honest assessment. altrx's current site does state that compounded medications are not FDA-approved.

How we read this record

A few points of context, without making excuses:

  1. Review platforms skew negative across the whole category. People with billing problems post. People whose orders arrive on time usually don't. But almost every compounded-medication provider is subject to that bias, and altrx's split is lopsided even so.
  2. Most complaints are about billing and support, not clinical care. That fits the terms we read. altrx's refund policy says multi-month and bundled plans are sold as a single purchase and are non-refundable "in whole and in part," and dispensed medication can't be returned. Anyone who prepays and then changes their mind will hit that wall, and many complaints describe exactly that. We explain the full flow in how altrx billing works.
  3. The fake-review notices cut both ways. Don't rely on the five-star reviews either.

How to vet any provider's complaints yourself

  1. Read the newest one-star and five-star reviews, not the average. Look for specific, repeated details: the same refund problem, the same shipping delay.
  2. Check BBB complaint subjects and whether the company responds and resolves them.
  3. Search fda.gov warning letters for the company's name and its legal entity name. altrx's legal entity is Trinity HealthCare Supply, LLC.
  4. Read the refund and cancellation policy before paying. Note the notice period and whether prepaid months are refundable.
  5. Use a credit card, not a debit card, so you can dispute a charge if you need to.

FAQ

Is altrx a scam? We don't think "scam" is accurate. It's an operating telehealth platform with licensed clinical partners, and it ships medication to many customers. But its public complaint record is poor and it received an FDA warning letter, so go in carefully. See is altrx legit for the licensing side.

What do most altrx complaints say? Billing and multi-month charges, cancellation friction, refund refusals, shipping delays and hard-to-reach support.

Can I get a refund from altrx? Under its published policy, prepaid multi-month plans and dispensed medication aren't refundable. If a provider decides you aren't eligible, the policy says you're refunded for the unused portion, minus consultation and review costs already incurred.

Has the FDA taken action against altrx? The FDA sent a warning letter dated June 8, 2026 about labeling and marketing claims. A warning letter is a formal notice. It isn't a shutdown or a recall.

Bottom line

altrx's price structure is real, but its customer record is the weakest part of the story. Lopsided negative reviews, hundreds of BBB complaints, fake-review notices and a June 2026 FDA warning letter all count. If you still choose altrx, pay month-to-month instead of prepaying, read the membership-fee breakdown and the cost guide, and keep records of every charge. If you'd rather start somewhere else, our best telehealth weight-loss programs of 2026 compares the field. Whichever you pick, a licensed clinician should decide whether this category suits you.
