LeanRx Review

Methodology

How we score GLP-1 providers

The LeanRx Score is a single number out of 100, built from five weighted pillars we apply identically to every provider. It exists to answer one question honestly: for the same medication, who gives you the best deal and the most trustworthy care?

Payouts do not change scores.

We earn a commission when a reader starts a program through our links. That relationship never changes a provider's LeanRx Score or its ranking. Scoring and monetization are handled separately, on purpose.

The five pillars

30%

Price transparency

Is the true all-in cost clear upfront, or hidden behind intro pricing, add-on fees, and dose-based tiers?

25%

Total-cost value

The modeled 12-month spend for typical use — including dose escalation, membership, and shipping.

20%

Clinical oversight

Real US-licensed clinician review, ongoing check-ins, and how care is monitored over time.

15%

Pharmacy sourcing disclosure

Does the provider disclose which pharmacies compound its medication, and their licensing?

10%

Cancellation / lock-in friction

How easy it is to pause or cancel — and whether you're locked into long contracts.

Our cost model

The 12-month cost figures across LeanRx are modeled: months 1–3 at each provider's starting price, then months 4–12 adjusted for typical dose escalation on tiered plans. Flat-pricing providers carry the same monthly cost throughout. Figures are estimates for comparison and can change with dose, state, and promotions — always verify current pricing before signing up.
